Where it began

Two friends from law school, one daily frustration.

Nowlez began in 2024 with two batchmates from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. Adrika was building a litigation practice across distinguished chambers, and living the friction every advocate knows: cases scattered across 26,000+ court portals, judgments buried in separate databases, drafts in Word, files in a dozen folders, and hearing dates tracked by hand.

Rithik came at it from the other side. With a computer-science background and years in technology before the law, he saw that the trusted munshi, the person who quietly keeps a practice on schedule, could be rebuilt as software. Always on. Never on leave. In every court at once.

That idea became Nowlez: a legal AI workspace for Indian advocates and law firms, combining AI legal research with verifiable citations, AI legal drafting in MS Word, case management software with real-time case tracking, and document management, designed specifically for Indian legal practice.

For generations, advocates have trusted a munshi. We rebuilt that trust: always on, and right inside WhatsApp.

Someone who tracks hearing dates, remembers tomorrow's matters, and follows every court update. One person can only be in one court at a time, and coverage pauses on leave. AI Munshi is that role, without the limits.

The journey so far

  1. 2024

    Nowlez is founded

    Two batchmates from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, one an advocate and one a technologist, set out to rebuild the munshi as AI, purpose-built for Indian legal practice.

  2. First national recognition

    Won pitching competitions at DNLU Jabalpur and HPNLU Shimla, early validation from India's national law universities.

  3. Pre-seed round

    Raised a pre-seed round, backed by leading incubators and accelerators, to build Nowlez into a full AI workspace.

  4. 2026

    1,000+ advocates on board

    Coverage grows to 26,000+ court portals across the Supreme Court, High Courts, District courts and Tribunals, with AI research, drafting and case tracking in one place.

  5. August 2026

Adrika holds an LL.B from the University of Delhi and has over two years of litigation experience, having worked across distinguished chambers including the offices of Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave and Senior Advocate Salman Khurshid. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, and Young ICCA, reflecting her active engagement with the global legal community.

Rithik holds a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from Manipal University and an LL.B from the University of Delhi. Before co-founding Nowlez, he worked with Nomura Research Institute and Abbott, bringing together expertise in technology, engineering, and law to build AI-driven solutions for the legal profession.
